Broadgate Mainland commended at awards
Broadgate Mainland has been commended for its work in promoting the SVM UK Absolute Alpha Fund Launch at Tuesday’s Financial Services Forum Awards for Marketing Effectiveness.
The firm was runner up to Santander’s rebrand campaign in the public relations category at the annual showcase for marketing in the financial services industry.
Following fifteen years of successful long/short investing in hedge funds, Edinburgh based independent fund manager SVM Asset Management launched the SVM UK Absolute Alpha Fund in Spring 2009. This UCITS fund brings its absolute return expertise to the retail market.
Broadgate Mainland, which has managed SVM’s PR for eight years, created and implemented the PR campaign, generating over 90 items of media coverage worth in excess of £1 million in AVE. Part of a co-ordinated marketing and PR campaign, SVM has secured investment of £18 million into the fund, at a time when many asset managers are recording outflows.
Roland Cross, director at Broadgate Mainland, says: “It is a great honour to receive this award, especially after the team’s hard work and effort during the launch campaign. This accolade serves as proof of the team’s dedication to achieving superior coverage for our clients, even when working in challenging economic conditions.”
