Additional resource for Artemis Strategic Assets Fund - 16/07/2010

Artemis Investment Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Giles Parkinson as an investment analyst. He will support William Littlewood in managing the £567 million* Artemis Strategic Assets Fund, launched just over a year ago.

Giles, who is 26, joins Artemis from Newton Investment Management where he has been a research analyst for four years. He will start at Artemis on 28 September.

William Littlewood commented: “As the fund has grown, we decided to add additional resource to the fund’s analysis, research and asset allocation. We are delighted to have attracted someone of Giles’ calibre. I believe that in these volatile times the fund will continue to meet our investors’ expectations. Giles will help with that.”

Giles’ appointment brings the number of investment professionals at Artemis to 18. The firm manages some £9.6 billion in a focused range of unit trusts, an investment trust, a VCT and segregated institutional accounts.
