Broadgate Mainland named as PR Manager of the Year for the third time
Broadgate Mainland, the specialist financial services PR company, has been named Public Relations Manager of the Year at the UK Pensions Awards 2009. It is the third time the company has won the accolade, having previously been named as PR Manager of the Year in 2005 and 2007, and it is the only PR company to have won the award on more than one occasion.
Broadgate Mainland, which has many pension specialists as clients within its financial services portfolio, was selected following a rigorous judging process from a panel made up of high-profile figures from the pensions industry.
Mark Knight, Director of Broadgate Mainland, commented: “The pensions landscape is constantly evolving, and firms involved in this highly-regulated industry are having to revisit the way they communicate their objectives. We are proud to be responsible for moulding the way that some of the leading pensions businesses are communicating in an age when so-called “traditional” PR forms just one part of a successful public relations campaign. To win this prestigious award for the third time is testament to the skill and dedication shown by the Broadgate Mainland team.”
Broadgate Mainland client, leading accountancy group Baker Tilly, won two awards at the event, being named as Pension Scheme Accountant of the Year and Sponsor Covenant Assessment Provider of the Year. Of Broadgate Mainland’s other clients, leading pensions legal firm Sacker & Partners LLP was in the final line-up for Pension Lawyers of the Year, and global fund of hedge funds group Financial Risk Management (FRM) was a finalist in the Hedge Fund Provider of the Year category.
The awards were announced at a glittering reception at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday evening.
