Broadgate Mainland top hedge fund PR firm in 2009

At yesterday’s prestigious HFMWeek awards ceremony for European hedge fund service providers, Broadgate Mainland won the award for best hedge fund PR firm in 2009.

HFMWeek’s service provider awards recognise companies that have outperformed their peer group over the course of 2008/2009. The awards were judged both quantitatively and qualitatively, producing a shortlist of candidates that had demonstrated financial progress, growth and genuine innovation.

Roland Cross, Director, Broadgate Mainland, said: “Broadgate Mainland has worked for hedge fund clients since 2001 and we have a team that understands the world of alternative investments and hedge fund strategy. The HFMWeek award is recognition of this and Broadgate Mainland’s track record for planning and implementing financial and professional service communication programmes that deliver real business results for our hedge fund clients.”

Jamie Murray of Broadgate Mainland’s Alternatives practise, adds: “ The hedge fund industry needs to communicate and engage with its investors, regulators and other key interest groups. Individual firms can enhance their reputations and raise more assets through proactive marketing and public relations. Broadgate Mainland offers dedicated consultancy to a range of companies in the hedge fund sector enabling them to raise their profile, and manage their reputation. We have helped them target core investor audiences more effectively. Being heard and communicating is vital for established and start-up companies who want to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive and challenging hedge fund marketplace.”

This is the second award that Broadgate Mainland has won in recent months. In April the agency was named PR Manager of the year in the UK Pensions Awards.
