Our main objective is to make sure that client servicing remains unchanged. The message here is that the teams remain the same and clients continue to be our first priority.
The key point for me is that the increased business gives us more skills and resource to draw on, when we are planning client programmes or pitching ideas to potential clients. It will give us – and clients – a critical mass that will bring many benefits.
Most importantly I know it will be fun
Also, although we have remarkably similar cultures and approaches to business, we have slightly different strengths: more institutional and specialist professional development and alternatives experience from Broadgate and more of a retail and consumer finance focus from Mainland.
With a total headcount of just under 30, all based on one site, the integration programme has gone well. In fact, if it doesn’t then we shouldn’t be in this business. We are now focused on making the business hum, bringing the best of our skills and ideas to clients and enjoying the opportunities that the merger presents. Most importantly I know it will be fun, I’ll keep you posted.
